Tanguito: 12 years already!
Now is the time to properly celebrate and throw a big party at beautiful Jacksons Lane (1min walk from tube), with lots of surprises. We will start the afternoon with classes with Bruno V Abeele and Tango Worldwide Championships finalist Laisa Souza, on the exciting theme of mordidas and changes of dynamics – alongside managing a busy milonga.
The extended milonga will be featuring the live music of TANGO SIEMPRE and guest DJ Diego Doigneau, as well as our first ever Student Ronda (click here for details on the ronda if you would like to know more) and Yuyo Brujo, Bahar Designs and Pure Royal.
Tickets will be sold at the door but can also be bought online with a discount (see below) from 31/10. The coffee and bar will serve delicious fresh food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

» 2PM (60-min): Complete Beginners. The Rebote! Add fun in your tango with the rebounds and add some jazz in your movement ;). Appropriate for those who just started.
» 2PM (60-min): Improvers. Playing with Rhythm in tango. Go beyond the simple steps and learn how to play with the base rhythm, melody, the contrapoints and bridges!
» 3PM (90-min) Intermediates and Advanced: Mordidas and changes of dynamics. More challenging but a lot of fun, see what happens when you change the speed and energy in your dancing. WE WILL ALSO INCLUDE managing the floor and the ronda, for those who come and participate in the students ronda later.
» Classes with Laisa and Bruno.
»» Live orchestra in the afternoon.

♬♬ ABOUT TANGO SIEMPRE ♬♬
Tango Siempre (pianist Jonathan Taylor, violinist Ros Stephen, bandoneonist Julian Rowlands & double bassist Rory Dempsey) performs in many dance shows including BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and national tango shows Tangomotion and Tango Encounters, ITV Surprise Surprise and other TV and Radio programmes. Their danceable repertoire spans the whole range of Argentinian tango music from the Guardia Vieja via the Golden Age.
They created the musical score for the Olivier-nominated “Midnight Tango” (BBC Strictly Come Dancing), and gave nearly 500 performances in three UK tours and two West End runs to critical acclaim. Tango Siempre has recorded 5 albums: ‘Nocturno’ (2002, ARCM1807), ‘Tangled’ (2004, ARCM1960), ‘Tangents’ (2007, GMC024) featuring Steve Arguelles and Gilad Atzmon, ‘Only Human’, (2008, Galileo-MC), and “Malandras del Tango” with special guests Victor Villena and Guillermo Rozenthuler.

Born in Argentina, Diego studied music and theatre in both Buenos Aires and London. Since 2008, he has been the resident DJ at a few Tango Clubs in London and across the UK. He has performed at major tango festivals and milongas worldwide, including River Tango in London, Mediterranean Summer Tango Festival in Porec, Brussels Tango Festival, Lisbon Tango Festival, Southern California Tango Championship and Festival, Milano Tango Pop, Lisbon Tango Marathon, Araka in Parma, Roma tango Fest, Ljubljana Tango Festival, Milonga Discepolo in Buenos Aires and many others.
