Back to Tango Survey

By |March 12th, 2021|

When you have a moment, give us a hand to prepare the post-covid tango scene.

Answer a few questions that will help us assess how to best prepare for the return of tango, and perhaps change a few things, so take this opportunity to help us improve and make your classes and milongas best suited for you.

Thank you for your amazing support.

Free online lessons for all on 21/03 to celebrate one year of e-tango

By |March 12th, 2021|

To all our wonderful students,

100% 90-MIN FREE LESSON to CELEBRATE one year ONLINE!

Pushed by the Covid crisis to do so, one year ago we embarked into a journey of teaching tango group lessons online, something that we never did before. Little did we know that a year later, we would still teach online – with the end of the crisis in view.

On the way, we received incredible support from so many dancers, from all over the globe – from Asia – Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam and more to Argentina and wider South America, from the US to Canada and Mexico, from the UK to wider Europe and places further afield, such as Jordan or New Zealand and new Caledonia.

As a huge, heartfelt thank you, we organise this free lesson for all, starting as usual by the first part (Beginners and Improvers) and followed by the second part (Intermediates and Up). We will teach a ‘best of’, a selection of lessons during the last year.

=== PROGRAMME ===

2PM BEGINNERS & IMPROVERS

Open letter to our students

By |July 17th, 2020|

To all our wonderful students,

We hope that you’re all keeping well. We “see” many of you with us online, week in, week out and it gives us comfort and joy to know you are carrying on with your tango and keep in touch with us this way.

ALL OUR LESSONS ACCESSIBLE ON YOUTUBE

When we started online classes, we decided to keep them open and accessible to all on Youtube (no apps with prior registration required); to date we have given 100+ online classes – and we want to continue to express our gratitude to all of you for online attendance and support: it does truly mean a world to us.

To keep the Tanguito Youtube channel open was our way to help everyone keep dancing in these tricky times. We are blessed to welcome participants (in some sessions, hundreds of you) from around the world – the UK, France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Germany, greater Europe and further afield, including the US, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, New Zealand, Venezuela, Japan… even Polynesia.

In this context donations give us some respite and allow us to continue teaching. To all of you who have supported us with donations in the last months, we extend a sincere, profound and heartfelt thank you.

In the recent weeks we noticed that although we still have a high number of visits to our weekly online lessons, fewer participants contribute towards these lessons. We would like to let you know that now, more than ever, we need your support. So if you are attending our lessons and are not severely financially impacted by Covid, and haven’t done so to date, we would really appreciate if you could make donations […]

Tango embrace » Term review (16/02/2020 class)

By |March 20th, 2020|

Dimension: Embrace - Theme: Term review

This class closes the term dedicated to the tango embrace, one of our favourite dimensions. We reviewed some of the steps that we have covered in previous classes: media luna, back sacada, follower's forward walking. Why choose when you can have it all?

Tango speed » Fast giros (19/02/2020 class)

By |March 20th, 2020|

Dimension: Speed - Theme: Fast giros

In this class, we explored giros that work really well on different types of music, slow or fast. We explored giros to the left and to the right, as well as giros on the beat and on the half beat. Quite a feast!
