Every Tuesday, we’ll publish a different tanda on our blog, to get you inspired for the week. Expect some humming or little twitches from your foot – better not fight it.
Today’s is a tango tanda by Lucio Demare.
Lucio DEMARE was born in Buenos Aires, his father was a violonist and while he devoted himself to piano from a very young age, his brother studied the bandoneon. Lucio joined Canaro’s orchestra early in his career, and evolved as a bandleader and a soloist pianist. He also composed many songs, some of which have become unmissable dancefloor classics: Malena, Mañana zarpa un barco, Solamente ella (which you can listen to below).
NB: The best way to improve your tango dancing is to know the music you dance on!
Pena de amor
Moneda de cobre
Oigo tu voz
Solamente ella
See you soon on the dancefloor!
Abrazo,
Nati y Bruno
