Los Angelitos: Tango group classes & milonga

Watch out, our passion for tango is contagious! In our classes, we use an original teaching technique and structured curriculum to produce happy, shiny, dancy people. We want you to enjoy tango and its culture, so we go beyond the steps and explore tango music, etiquette, history…

Group classes are all followed by a milonga (social dancing) – in a beautiful hall and London’s friendliest settings!

Complete beginners: you can join the beginner class and stay a bit longer for the social dancing. You can also start with a private lesson to ease your way into group classes – most people do!

What to expect at the milongas

NEW! You can reserve a table if you come as a group of 4 people or more. Contact us to book your table.

In everything we do, we try and provide a friendly atmosphere for you to learn and practice tango. We welcome dancers of all levels who come on their own, with a partner or with a group of friends, and strongly encourage role-swapping.

Every hour we have a “friendship tanda” for dancers to invite someone they’ve never danced with – the best way for you to make a new friend, and who knows, meet your next favourite dance partner!

At every milonga, we provide complimentary tea and coffee. On Sundays, we serve cakes and sometimes a bit of bubbly (bubbles simply make life feel sweeter!). If you’d like to bring some food or even some wine, please feel free to do so. There are tables around the dancefloor that you can “picnic” on.

Location

We are at the New Unity Church, 277A Upper Street, Islington, London, N1 2TZ
