21/03/2021 Celebratory FREE LESSONS: 1 Year of online teaching, 90 min

Pushed by the Covid crisis to do so, one year ago we embarked into a journey of teaching tango group lessons online, something that we never did before. Little did we know that a year later, we would still teach online - with the end of the crisis in view. On the way, we received incredible support from so many dancers, from all over the globe - from Asia - Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam and more to Argentina and wider South America, from the US to Canada and Mexico, from the UK to wider Europe and places further afield, such as Jordan or New Zealand and new Caledonia. As a huge, heartfelt thank you, we organise this gratitude based free lesson for all, starting as usual by the first part (Beginners and Improvers) and followed by the second part (Intermediates and Up). We will teach a 'best of', a selection of lessons during the last year.

  • 02/09/2020 Interpreting Pauses & Stops

02/09 At the heart of tango is these moments of suspension, or sheer beauty in stillness, when connection is at its highest. • 10/02/2021 Interpreting SLOW tangos, secrets and technique, Part I

    £12.00

10/02/2021 Interpreting SLOW tangos, secrets and technique, Part I, 90 min.

Most are surprised, when they start tango, how slow some tango songs can get. These moments of stillness, of change of pace, and intricate game between melody and counterpoints are places of sheer beauty, calling the dancers to reveal themselves in the tiniest, or slowest, of movement. It feels at first that dancing on a slow song would be easier, but it is soon evident that they require even more control, and communication in the couple. Come and embrace these fabulous songs, and learn how to improve your technique to share a great experience with your partner. This is part I of II, both part best enjoyed together but can be taken independently.

  • 19/08/2020 Many Tango Embraces: the art of the abrazo special part I

    £12.00
19/08 The Embrace (Abrazo). They say Tango is nothing more (and nothing less) than an embrace. Could this be the very reason we all dance tango? Note that we’ve put an ‘s’ in Embraces, because the embrace is, as much as steps and combinations, a tool we can use to vary the feelings and interpretation in tango. This is Part I of II, but both can be taken separately.
