Lomuto was a precocious child – at the age of 13, he wrote his first tango, “El 606”, alluding to a medicine called Salvarsán, prescribed for the treatment of venereal diseases. Years later, he composed Muñequita, a romantic love song, and a big hit recorded by Gardel. The blog “Tanda of the week” compiled beautiful tandas from Lomuto – an inspired way to get in the mood for this weekend milongas.
