Learn to tango in London with Tanguito's group and private tango classes

Tanguito is an genuine dance school offering Argentine tango classes in the heart of London. During our Tango group classes (Mon/Wed/Thu), and private lessons (Mon to Sat), we use an original technique to produce happy, shiny, dancy people. We want you to enjoy tango and its culture, so we go beyond the steps and explore tango music and its “milongas”, these incredible tango parties where everything comes together like magic.

Our students say

Tanguito our students say

We feel very lucky: lots of students said nice things about us on this site (and on Google, too) if you want to have a read; we too have very nice things to say about them! You can also take a look at our group class photos – who said tango was too serious and lacked fun?

Where to find us (our dance studio)

Is it the address of the studio you’re looking for? Look no further, here it is:

Moving Arts Base, 134 Liverpool Road, Islington, London N1 1LA, just opposite the Regent Pub on Liverpool Road. Tel Moving Arts Base: 020 7609 6969.

Nearest tubes and how to get there: Angel (Northern line, 5 to 8 min on foot or 2 min by horse), Highbury & Islington (Overground and Victoria line, 10 min on foot), and within walking distance from King’s Cross St Pancras station. To enter the premises, pass under the archway marked ‘Syracusae’. Once inside the courtyard, ring the movingartsbase bell for access. Check our studio page for Google Maps.

What you need to know

For the class, please bring dance shoes, or indoors trainers that let you slide on the floor – best to avoid rubber soles. If you don’t have any dance shoes (yet), socks will do; we recommend doubling them to facilitate all this sliding business. If in doubt, please consult our ‘what to wear’ section of our FAQ page. And if you are not too sure which class level you should join, visit our class levels page.

No partner? No problem!

If you don’t have a partner, it’s absolutely fine, just check our help, I don’t have a partner! section. Besides, when learning tango, it is customary to alternate dance partners every few songs – the best way to learn and to make new friends!
