Today there are approximately 1 to 1.5 million people in the US with Parkinsons Disease and approximately 50,000-60,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. There is no cure for Parkinsons, but there are medicines and exercises that improve the quality of life of people with Parkinsons.

Research studies as early as 2007 by Drs. Gammon Earhart and Madeleine Hackney, Washington University, showed that dancing Argentine Tango is an excellent exercise to improve balance and gait for people with Parkinsons.
