Today, we commemorate the passing away, 17 years ago, of one of the most influential, talented and prolific tango poet, Enrique Cadícamo.
Cadícamo was born in General Rodríguez, a province of Buenos Aires. His first book of poems, Canciones Grises, dates back to 1926. He worked extensively with Gardel, and wrote the last tango that Gardel recorded on November 6, 1933 before his last tour: the tango “Madame Ivonne”.
